Anglicare, a leading organization in disaster response and volunteer coordination, embarked on a project to transform its disaster management system through the development of a mobile application and web panel. The goal was to replace manual processes with a digital platform, offering a user-friendly experience for volunteers, team leaders, regional coordinators, and state managers.

Our Solution

Structured Project Phases:

We divided the development into clear, manageable phases to ensure a systematic approach.

  • Phase 1: Developed core features such as user registration, volunteer management, event broadcast, and basic reporting, ensuring a scalable architecture. Key functionalities included volunteer availability tracking, event participation, and push notifications.
  • Phase 2:  Enhanced reporting, implemented a badge system, and improved security with advanced dashboards for volunteer/event management, while integrating hierarchical leadership access and performance optimization.

Enhanced User Experience: We focused on creating an intuitive and seamless experience for all user groups, including simplified workflows and user-friendly UI/UX.

Advanced Features: Implemented real-time notifications and a hierarchical access system for leaders to manage volunteer activities. Added a badge recognition feature to motivate volunteers, visible to both volunteers and leadership.

Comprehensive Updates: Addressed technical issues such as network problems, data synchronization, and enhanced security protocols.

Our Results

The Disaster Recovery Volunteer app was successfully launched on the App Store and Google Play, improving disaster response through enhanced communication, volunteer coordination, and real-time updates. High user ratings reflect increased engagement and ease of use, with future updates planned to further optimize management features.
